Structural steel fabrication
Mega Steels fabricates structural steelwork for commercial buildings across London and the South East — beams, columns, trusses, portal frames and platforms — manufactured to your engineer's drawings under a BS EN 1090-1 Execution Class 2 controlled process.
What we do
- Primary steelwork: beams, columns, universal sections, hollow sections and built-up members
- Trusses, portal frames, transfer structures and steel platforms
- Fabricated from your structural engineer's drawings and connection design
- CE-marked fabrication to BS EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011, Execution Class 2
Every job is fabricated under a controlled, audited Factory Production Control process to Execution Class 2, the execution class for the majority of general building structures. You get steelwork that arrives right, fits on site, and carries the documentation your building control and client expect.
Structural Steel Fabrication: common questions
- What execution class do you fabricate to?
- We fabricate to BS EN 1090-1 Execution Class 2 (EXC2), the class specified for the majority of general building structures, under an audited factory production control process. If your project specifies a different class, tell us with your enquiry and we'll confirm against it.
- Do you fabricate from our drawings or do you design the steel?
- We fabricate from your structural engineer's drawings and connection design. We also offer steel detailing to turn design intent into fabrication-ready drawings — see our Design & Steel Detailing service.
- What sizes and sections can you handle?
- We work across the common structural ranges — universal beams and columns, hollow sections, plate and built-up members. Send your drawings or section schedule with an enquiry and we'll confirm against your specific job.
